Mental Health Play - Update

Last year, we put a call out in our newsletter asking for people to contact us to share stories of poor mental health in the workplace. Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to share with us online, via phone interview or in an email. We ended up collating over 100 stories. And what now?

You'll be happy to know that we are BUSY! In December last year, we hired some rehearsal space and worked through all the stimulus. We brought in a mental health expert from Sydney (thank you Joy) who also happens to be a fine writer and director. And we devised and plotted our play. So, we are currently in the process of writing it. It's coming along nicely. Our plan was a July launch, but watch this space...as we may postpone that to a little later in the year. Watch this space though...it's coming...and we think the timing couldn't be more perfect.. We are also looking for an organisational champion that supports better outcomes in mental health training. By providing the initial capital, the Foundation Sponsor will support the rehearsal period and technology development required for the undertaking. This organisation will enjoy the debut performance and additional performances and training that is valued at an equal amount. It's a funny old time to be seeking sponsorship, but we feel like the play and experiential mental health training that is included will be needed more than ever.
